Book 2 of the Detective Henry Ward series, 'Butcher on the Moor', has been published!
I had so much fun writing this novel. And as you can tell from its title, I let my dark side out a bit.
Here's a summary of the story:
“Ex-DCI Henry Ward is woken in the middle of the night when a distressed woman calls him, demanding he arrest her son.
After reluctantly heading over to her house, he makes a gruesome discovery before being attacked.
With the local police stretched, they reluctantly lean on Ward’s local knowledge to track down a man with blood on his hands.”
This book was written last summer. When I started it, I was staying in Strasbourg and the heat was oppressive. The basement flat I'd rented inspired the first chapter (but that basement was really nice – nothing like the one Henry finds).
This novel also branches out of Ilkley and Addingham, with the story taking place in Keighley and Silsden (I lived in the latter until I was thirteen).
I’m currently super busy writing Book 3, and I’ll let you know more about that one soon.
Thanks for your support, and I hope you enjoy
‘Butcher on the Moor’. If you do, please leave a review or rating on Amazon. It’ll help me get the word out.
